Emergency Fund
United Way of Lincoln County partners with established local programs and organizations to distribute emergency assistance where it is needed most. In these situations, individuals are in financial crises, typically because of emergency factors, like an unexpected health problem, transportation issue, or external disaster, like a hurricane or government shutdown.
While the immediate issue might be access to food or medical assistance, the byproduct of these effects is that individuals and families may struggle to afford their normal bills, like rent or utility payments. This means that once they have dealt with the immediate effect, they are at risk of equally difficult problems, like the threat of eviction or their power being cut off.
We are dedicated to ensuring that Lincoln County makes it through community hardships without leaving anyone behind.
