School is back in session, and that means that United Way of Lincoln County's Stuff the Bus event has come to an end! From July 7 through August 8, over 25 locations helped UWLC gather donated school supplies for Lincoln County children and teachers!
With the help of Atrium Health, HUBER Technology, Communities in School, and Lincoln County Schools, United Way of Lincoln County volunteers came together to sort all of the donations at our two resource centers, attend back-to-school events, and help get Lincoln County teachers get stocked up for the new school year!
This year brought in more supplies than ever before, and we're so grateful to our amazing community for coming together to do so! At the back-to-school events, the West ARC was able to help 135 children get new-to-them clothes, and the Central ARC has served over two hundred during its shopping days, too. The donated school supplies were given out at West Zone, as well as in the Sunrise Community. Closing out Stuff the Bus 2025 were the Teacher Shop Days, and more than 75 teachers were able to get materials for their classrooms and help students who may not have the supplies that they need.
Every Stuff the Bus event made a direct impact in Lincoln County children and teachers' lives, and United Way is so grateful to the volunteers who helped with the events, the individuals who donated supplies, and the companies and organizations who participated as collection sites!
