Month of Caring

Join In On Our Month of Caring!

National Volunteer Month happens every April, and United Way of Lincoln County likes to take part in that spirit by hosting our annual Day of Caring. This year, we're taking that one step farther!

To celebrate 65 years in Lincoln County, United Way of Lincoln County is commemorating National Volunteer Month by organizing volunteer opportunities at each of our funded non-profits and community partners across the county! With more than 15 projects to choose from, volunteers can impact their community by helping pack tote bags for victims of domestic violence, prep the YMCA for summer camp, hand out blessing bags to individuals experiencing homelessness, and so much more! Almost all projects are less than four hours long and all assist a nonprofit or mission-driven agency. A variety of skillsets are needed, including gardening, painting, and writing.

Each of these projects are just glimpses into the heart of our community, recognizing the incredible impact that these agencies and programs make in Lincoln County. Not only will volunteers be able to make a personal contribution to our community, but they’ll get to learn more about the people who work every day to help our neighbors.

To wrap up our Month of Caring, United Way of Lincoln County will host a party bus tour around the county, highlighting the incredible work being done in our community! On the party bus, local leaders and community figures will get to learn about each of our funded partners, the programs United Way of Lincoln County supports, and more.

It’s United Way of Lincoln County’s 65 birthday, and we are ready for a month-long celebration of this amazing community. For those interested in joining in our celebration by participating in our micro projects, check out Lincoln County’s new volunteer hub below:
